Girl airlifted to Canberra after water skiing accident, condition unknown

A nine-year-old girl has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital after a water skiing accident.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said seven units responded to the call at the Talbingo end of the Blowering Dam.

The girl sustained suspected neck and shoulder injuries and was taken to Canberra by helicopter after being treated by paramedics on site.

The severity of the girl's condition is unknown after ACT Health refused to acknowledge whether the girl was stable, critical or serious, citing a new "privacy" policy.
